Naretha Pretorius explores the art and purpose of thinking, reframed. The way we understand thinking and reframing is unpacked, while looking at how and why an individual or organisation can or should reframe their thinking, and why it matters. Naretha also dives deeper into the art of asking the right questions, while sharing her personal story of transformation. Naretha Pretorius is the Campus Head at the IIE Vega School, Durban Campus. She’s an integral coach and a reframed thinking facilitator, with experience in creative problem-solving for innovation, design thinking, purpose development and strategic decision making. Her approach in finding solutions and reframed thinking sits in the art of asking ‘the right’ questions. Naretha has over 20 years’ experience in curriculum and programme development in higher education, transformative educational methodologies, and leadership. Naretha is also a practising artist with a Master’s Degree in Fine Art (Cum Laude) from the Durban University of Technology. Naretha participated in several group exhibitions, a solo exhibition as part of her master’s studies, and presented as guest speaker at several conferences and published several articles and guest columns. Naretha is a trained NLP and Integral Coach. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
